 This Emesco Dental engine and handpiece have been part of Dentistry for many years.  I can't remember if I got it in my student first year issue or it came from my Dad's office.  At the earliest it was made in the 1970's, perhaps much earlier.  I don't know how to date the engine.  They first came with a drive cable that was easy to break and fray.  This one was updated to the later style synthetic material which holds it's length better and does not fray.  The engine works great, switch reverses direction as it should.  The foot pedal is fully restored, I took it apart and cleaned all internals and made sure all electrics were in working order.  It has a fresh coat of Hammerite paint.  The electrical cables are perfect.  The base of the engine has a round hole where the power cord exits the base, I drilled it for a brass insert so the cord would not rub against the sides of the base and be damaged.  It's not really easy to tell anything has been done but if you compare it to one without the brass insert you would see the difference.  Can't leave well enough alone. It's a great functioning handpiece or just looks good on the shelf.  That's where I've had it the last 30 years, time to downsize.  Will ship USPS Priority Mail, large box, will take it down for shipment to make it safer to ship in the box.  Easy to put back together.  15.00 shipping to the U.S. Email any questions before bidding or buying.
