With sub-10 nanosecond timestamping capabilities and precise packet timestamping and clock synchronisation from the host or external time reference, the DAG 7.5G4 can be used to accurately monitor network performance. The enhanced packet processing functionality increases packet processing performance via hardware-based filtering and load-balancing techniques. This effectively accelerates application performance by offloading common features into hardware, freeing up more CPU resources for packet processing applications. The DAG 7.5G4 is designed to be easily integrated into existing server hardware, with 4-lane PCIe Gen1 bus technology. It has a relative timed data replay option that enables precise reproduction of traffic conditions. The card requires less than 20W of power and supports Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. The operating temperature range is 0 to 50В°C, with airflow requirements of 200 LFM (@50В°C Ambient) and operating humidity of 5 to 95% non-condensing. The Endace DAG 7.5G4 packet capture card is a high-performance network monitoring solution that supports lossless traffic capture and inspection on 10/100/1000BASE-T and optical Gb/s Ethernet networks. This quad-port card utilises small form factor optical transceivers, enabling 100% packet capture into host memory at full line rate for all packets from 64 to 9600 bytes, including jumbo frames. The card supports up to 32 memory buffers for load balancing in multi-core host architecture, with 64 hardware-based classification rules for on-board steering and duplication.
