This listing is for a single Endure Medical FOI-150-EMI-RL MicroKeratoscope Light Source Illuminator. What we are selling is the 'base' unit seen in the photographs. We have no other parts or accessories to go with this unit, which appears designed to take a removable flexible cable, likely fiber optic in nature, to conduct the light this unit generates, to whatever application it is to be used with. We assume that this unit with the removable and not included cable was possibly to be used as a light source with a microscope as we have seen similar light sources in use with microscopes but have no specific knowledge of this brand or this model. We have not researched this item so do not know exactly how it was used. The existing lamp inside it does power on and responds to the front adjusting knob by becoming brighter or dimmer depending on where the knob is positioned (see photos). A cooling fan runs for as long as this unit is turned on. It has a smooth sound and is no louder than similar sized fan cooled scientific / laboratory instruments and test equipment that we have experienced. Because the flexible cable that apparently is normally furnished with this unit is missing, we are listing this for about half of what the other sellers of this unit, complete with cable, are selling it for. Selling base unit only as shown; nothing else is included except what is shown in the photographs. Grounded power cord (the green dot you see on the face of the plug with the flat blades and round prong means that this is a "hospital grade" plug) appears undamaged, including at the 'strain relief' where the power cord enters the unit at the back. Other units seen on ebay at the time this was listed had a flexible cable, believed to contain fiber optic cable, ending in a kind of ring. We do not have that cable which is why it is not shown in the photos. The photos show what the purchaser will get. The 2 'set screws' that would be used to secure such a cable in place are installed in the base unit. Both turn freely and are not 'wobbly' as could suggest stripped threads. We have hand-tightened both of them all the way 'in' because it is safer for them that way than to be in the position where a cable might be removed (less exposed to being bent by impact; they were not bent at all). There are 2 sets of 4 rubber feet/bumpers, to allow the user a choice of how to position the base unit. All are present and show no signs of unusual wear and tear, nor does the rubber (or whatever the material might be) show signs of deterioration, e.g., not cracked, and not degraded to the point of "stickiness" or crumbling. There is a dented front upper right corner, which we assume is why the right side is slightly bowed outward compared to the left side (see close up and other photos), and the usual assortment of small scratches on used equipment, plus what might be 3 small circular dents on the underside or might be a by-product of internal attachment points (see photos). LOCAL PICKUP: IS AVAILABLE BUT ONLY IF YOU CHOOSE THAT OPTION DURING EBAY CHECKOUT. Otherwise ebay will expect us to ship to you, and when we don't -- even though that was because you and we agreed to a pickup that was not chosen during ebay checkout -- ebay will downgrade our seller statistics for 'failing' to upload tracking information within a set time period. We aren't making this up -- it does happen; and ebay has told us that there is no way after checkout is done to retroactively agree to a pickup and have ebay recognize that agreement. You may return this item in the same condition as it was shipped to you, at your expense.
