item includes a manual throttle control, (which controls output of generator).this system was installed on a Toyota SR5 forrunner I purchased. I removed the control panel to install some wiring and have never put it back.although I have never welded with this item, it has performed the charging of the battery, and operated the electrical system.I have checked the components with a meter, and everything seems fine to me.because I can't swear that it all works, it is sold as not working. I guarantee it to be functional and working, not DOA. or your money back.this thing is for the more determined off roader. it has a proven record of being a valuable addition to your vehicle. check the website, named premierpowerwelder.com, I know funny name.ask questions?
