For sale is a tool post dial indicator mount. It is machined from 6061 aluminum and blue anodized. It fits Aloris/Dorian AXA BXA tool holders. It will fit other tool holders with an opening of 1/2". By placing the mount on the front of the tool post you can indicate radial runout at the headstock and tailstock. Place it on the side of the tool post and you can indicate the face. The centerline of the indicator is 3/8" up from the bottom of the tool locating surface. This will give you sufficient adjustment to center the indicator with either an AXA or BXA tool holder. Photos show the indicator centered with both types of tool holders. With the rigidity of the tool and travel of the indicator it is ideal for truing parts in a four jaw chuck. The design of the tool guarantees that the indicator always stays parallel to the ways. The indicator is easily removed from the holder with one clamp screw when it is needed elsewhere. Included is a new 20mm travel dial indicator with .01 mm graduations. The photos show an inch indicator, but you will receive the pictured metric indicator. It is the same size as the inch one except the plunger is 1/8" longer and the stem dia. is 8mm. Also included is a split reducer bushing for mounting the indicator in the holder. Please note that the sale is only for the indicator holder and the indicator with the blue outer ring. The lathe, other pictured indicators, and tooling are not included.
