Entrance Reducer, Drone Trap Out. Provides unrestricted access to the worker bee during nectar flow and pollen harvest while limiting acces to the drone bee and drastically reducing the drone count in each colony. This entrance reducer is specifically designed to reduce the amount of drones in your colony. Honey bee drone only serve one purposes and that is to make a new queen. The downside of that is that drones can take up about 30% of a healthy colony and they only consume resources. So if you're a hobby beekeeper, you are keeping the colony for honey and since your drone count is down, you are gonna be able to have a significant better honey harvest. This trap out is also hygienic because varroa mites like drones more so than a worker bee, and Drones from a different colony are often permitted into a colony. So if a drone from an untreated colony visits your treated colony, they can potentially infest your healthy colony again.
