This centrifuge works well and quickly cools to as low as -9 degrees C.  It runs quietly and smoothly at a maximum RPM of 14,000.  The pictures show the centrifuge running at 14,000 at -9 C.  You can see frost in the chamber in one picture.   The centrifuge does have two issues.  One issue is that the front, right corner is cracked.  This is cosmetic and does not affect the use of the centrifuge.  You have to firmly close the lid for it to lock, but I think this is a function of the centrifuge and not the crack.  The second issue is that the centrifuge gives an “ERROR 6” message at the end of a cycle when it is slowing down.  There are 3 causes of an Error 6; One is a Converter Overload, a second is Brake Defective and a third is Rotor Loose.  I would suspect that in this case, the error is braking since it only occurs when the cycle is over and the rotor is slowing down.  I would suggest having the centrifuge serviced in order ot have the issue professionally resolved.   This centrifuge is relatively small but VERY heavy, thus the increased shipping charge.   This will not carry a return warranty and is offered as-is, since it has two slight issues.  Thanks for looking!
