Submitted for your consideration we offer you a tidy little printer from the Japanese masters of same, Epson.  The TM-88IIIP uses the good old Centronics (IEEE-1284, Parallel, or just "Printer Port") interface and prints on standard thermal paper.  It is typically used as a receipt printer in a point-of-sale application, but can easily do other duties where its characteristics are desirous, especially the nearly-silent operation produced by thermal printers.  The power supply, which uses a very peculiar locking Mini-DIN with three pins in different sizes, is included.  The drivers are available for download from Epson themselves.  We include a small roll of thermal paper to get you started.
