Equisonic CHAT Monitors 2800 Bone Monitor   For sale- an Equisonic CHAT Monitors 2800 Bone Monitor.  I believe this would be used to assess the bone density of a horse’s leg.  Despite the generally excellent condtion, while it would power up I couldn’t get anything on the display.  So it got put aside and forgotten.  Clean up time, now it needs to go.  So I put a bit more effort into it this time and removed the cover over the computer and battery compartment as pictured.  Wiggling the large gray ribbon connector finally put the 8888 display up for VELOCITY but I never did get anything in the DISTANCE display.  And I think the 8888 is the initial check of the display segments, and it does not appear to want to move on from there.   Accordingly it is being sold for parts or repair only, and no returns will be accepted.  Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and medical equipment.  Check back often!   Sold as is, as described, as pictured.  Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.  Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.  If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.  Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.   You are also encouraged to visit my “ME” page, where my terms, conditions, and philosophy of doing business are outlined.  I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction.   Payment is expected within 7 days of the close of the sale and I need to hear from you within 3 days to confirm the transaction.  Because of the weight and/or bulk of the item I have chosen to let ebay’s shipping calculator figure out the cost based on your zip code.  Alternatively I would be happy to ship it charged to your Fedex account.  I will under NO circumstances ship it UPS, the people there don’t seem to be smart enough to handle a shipment charged to the recipients account, nor do they appear to be smart enough to correct their mistake after the fact.   With increasing frequency the ebay shipping calculator seems to be incapable of actually “calculating”, instead it prefers to tell you that the zip code you have entered is invalid.  Unless/Until they can fix it the only thing I can do is to plug my zip, your zip, the weight and dimensions in at fedex.com to arrive at a shipping cost for your particular shipment.  So if ebay isn’t providing a shipping cost automatically, you can always go to fedex.com and estimate it yourself.  It would be shipping from a fedex terminal in 22902.  The assumed weight will be 35 pounds in a box 24x18x12.
