Only connect 5V regulated to the external connector when the 5V jumper is placed. The ESP8266 wifi module (ESP-01) and Arduino Nano V3.x adapter comes with breadboard headers that are included but not soldered, as shown in the first two pictures above. Note that the A7 pin cannot be used as a digital control on the Nano, and the A7 jumper has been removed. Download the Arduino example sketch for use with this adapter. If you would like the headers soldered, please specify in notes during PayPal payment or send a message after purchase. Connecting more than 5V will damage your Arduino Nano! Please note that the Arduino Nano and ESP8266 wifi module are not included. The adapter features a 3.3V power regulator to power the ESP-01, which can be turned on and off using only the D9 pin on the Nano. The adapter also includes external power solder points spaced at 0.1" pitch, which can handle up to +12 volts. The ESP-01 GPIO-0 and GPIO-2 pins are broken out to the breadboard header pins. The dimensions of the adapter are 24.2mm x 59.1mm. All boards are tested before shipment. The "5V VIN" jumper will connect the external power supply and the ESP power supply to the Nano 5V or VIN pins, respectively. RX and TX pins for the ESP-01 are selectable as follows: RX=D0 or D7 and TX=D1 or D8.
