Vintage machinist tool box, oak tool chest with multiple felt lined drawers, clip closures on front & both sides. Measuring approx. 20" wide x 8-3/8" x 13" high. This chest looks like it has the original metal hardware and leather? wrapped top handle in place. There is a worn decal with the name PRECISION LABORATORIES on it (see pic). The front clasp is marked USA. These boxes make wonderful jewelry chests ~ this chest weighs 21 lbs as you see it here ~ take a look. I am not an expert on items we sell. I will tell you what I see when I look at the item for names, numbers or other points of interest I may give you my opinion on the item. You are looking at an antique, vintage or decorative item. This item is on our 5 day auction bid early so you are not disappointed we only have one! Condition: Clean, well used but still has a lot of life in it. The top carry handle is holding well with great metal attachments on either end although the leather? has pulled away from the core of the handle in spots. The lid opens and closes well on the hinges. All the metal corners and clasps are attached as they should be. The lift up clasps hold the box closed but have a loose feel to the tension. The wood appears solid with NO breaks, the old green felt is there but worn from age. The front door panel has a narrow chip that does not deter it from sitting in the chanel and doing its job. I don't know how the door panel stays in the box once pushed in place is stays well. Sorry I'm not an expert on machinist equipment.
