Those who say "wrong plug" have only themselves to blame as it is clearly stated in the listing what kind of cord this is. I use it with my portable generator and have no more 'popped' amp breakers! Jon Beard on November 25, 2013 Verified Purchase Very good quality and just what I needed to hook up a generator for emergency power. Just be careful when matching up the plug / receptacle connections as it was easy to get confused with the various (290 Amp, 30 Amp) twist lock connections. Using Nema designations is the only way to make sure connections are matched up.
