Item is brand new, unused, in manufacturer packaging. The Extron MTP T 15HD A AAP Twisted Pair Transmitter is an AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate version of the MTP T 15HD A. The Extron MTP T 15HD A AAP accepts high resolution computer-video on a female 15-pin HD connector and a stereo audio signal on a female 3.5 mm mini stereo jack. The female RJ-45 output connector will transmit a computer video and summed mono audio signal to an MTP RL 15HD A or MTP RL 15HD A SEQ receiver. The MTP T 15HD A AAP is designed to be mounted in any Extron product that accepts a double-space AAP. The MTP 15HD A Series non-CAT 7 models can be used with any CAT 5-type twisted pair cable or with Extron's Enhanced Skew-Free™ AV UTP Cable for cable runs of 600 feet (185 meters) or more with XGA signals, and 450 feet (135 meters) or more with UXGA signals. Extron MTP 15HD A transmitters and receivers precisely optimize image quality for various UTP cable lengths using adjustment controls on both the transmitter and receiver. The transmitters feature a pre-peaking switch that provides additional compensation at the front end for the longest cable runs. The receivers offer continuously variable gain and peaking controls, allowing users to dial in the exact amount of gain and peaking required for each unique cable run. When using data grade twisted pair cable for sending high-resolution video signals long distances, a problem called skew can cause a distortion in the image, resulting in visible color separation. Extron offers two options for solving this problem and restoring image quality. The first option is to place an SEQ 100 15HD Skew Equalizer at the receiving end of any cable run where skew is a problem. The second option is to use Extron's Enhanced Skew-Free™ AV UTP cable to make system connections. MTP 15HD A Series transmitters, receivers, and switchers are compatible with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and are ideal for such applications as large training facilities, museums, airports, movie theaters, and hotels. These products are well suited for any application that requires a cost-effective solution for sending RGBHV, RGBS, HDTV, component video, S-video, and composite video with audio signals long distances over UTP cable. The entire family of Extron MTP 15HD products sets the price/performance standard for audio/video twisted pair technology. The MTP 15HD Series is a complete twisted pair system including transmitters, receivers, and switchers, providing the ability to send, route, and distribute high resolution video, audio, and control signals.
