F & E Excel Model Check Protctecter If you are looking at this then you probably know what you are looking for more than I do. This was from my grandmothers estate, she used it in her small business I have tried to take enough pictures so that you will know what you are getting. As far as describing the unit, it weighs almost 13 lbs, registration plate says, Serial XL3587632 - F & E Check Protector - The Hedman Company, Chicago Series. Though I am not a collector I was struck by the beauty and color of the art deco inspired design. It is in good condition overall, levers move - though I have no idea what they do, all the sliders slide, buttons & handle all seem good. It still has the original core so I guess that is why it look good, but there is a rough spot on the front, I made sure you could see it in the photos. It looks like it would be a great display piece of early business machinery. Remember it is heavy and that effects the shipping cost. Hope the pictures tell you all you need to know.
