Fairbanks Morse Magneto Wisconsin engine VH4D and others Removed From a Functioning VH4D Wisconsin The two mounting holes measure about 4" center to center with an elongated rotation adjustment on the lower hole.  I counted 27 teeth from its timing mark around the circumference of the gear which can be changed out with  common size shaft gear of your own. The gear on this magneto alone is worth $90.00 and is good,, it is held in place with a cottered nut.   The Magneto body itself is about 9 inches long by 6 inches tall and 4 inches thick in width. Note:  magneto is equipped with aircraft style screw-on positive contact (spring loaded) sparkplug connectors which could designate as conforming to government or aircraft ground unit military spec.  This Fairbanks-Morse Model FM XZE 4B7  Serial Number is #7239748 and will operate the ignition for several of the 4 cylinder engines for which it was designed. Some of these engines are " possibly "...  Wisconsin Engine applications Y-98-C-S1 and likely these models MVH4D, MVG4D, VH4D and VG4D, but please do your own research on this, as once purchased this magneto becomes yours.
