FAN COVER FOR CLARKE OBS-18 DC PART # 50275A Is your dust housing (the plastic cover on top of the motor) loose? Can you hear the fan rubbing on the inside of it? This is the part you need. It mounts directly to the top of the motor, and has three studs which hold the vacuum housing assembly. These studs are spot-welded into the thin steel of the cover, and while fairly sturdy, will break if someone uses the housing as a handle, or hits it with something, or otherwise abuses it. NOTE: Occasionally, it is impossible to remove the plastic vacuum fan without breaking it. I have also seen one broken because of the busted fan cover. Before ordering, it might be a good idea to pull the fan to make sure it won't break; if it does, you can order the fan (part # 54765A) at the same time.
