 Fire-Dex 1910 Traditional Style Fire Helmet, Yellow with 4" Visor The 1910 features a fiberglass compression molded shell with superior flame and heat resistance, thermal impact cap, ratchet adjustment, and an adjustable headband that fits all SCBA's. SEI Certified to meet or exceed NFPA 1971, current edition. - Includes 4" Visor, Knit sweatband and nape, black Nomex ear cover with FR cotton lining - Thermal Impact cap insert is 66% cooler than capless models - Features 6-way overhead suspension strap system - Front headband height to fit all SCBA masks - Nomex chinstrap and large-dia pivot knobs for easy adjustment - Standard 1910 helmet includes 3M Scotchlite solid lime yellow trapezoid trim 1910™ Helmet Specification Helmet Model: Fire-Dex® 1910™ Helmet Helmet Shell: The helmet shape shall be flared, rear-brim design with a length of 15 5/8”, a width of 12 1/4 ” , and a height of 7”. The helmet shell shall be a traditional style with four (4) primary and four (4) secondary ribs bisecting the dome. The helmet shell shall be comprised of a composite fiberglass with a thermoset resin. Color pigment shall be added to the resin. The helmet shell finish shall be a matte style and is available in black, white, yellow, and red. The helmet shell edge shall have an aluminum reinforced elastomeric edge beading that is secured at the brim rear with a stainless steel clip and D-ring fastened by a stainless steel rivet. A stamped, embossed, brass eagle front shall be attached by six (6) solid brass screws and three (3) sleeves. The beak of the eagle shall be formed to hold the top of a leather identification shield. Helmet Impact Liner System: The impact liner system shall consist of a urethane foam liner adhered to a high heat resistant inner shell. The inner shell shall have hook and loop material attached to secure the impact liner system to the helmet shell. Hold down clips shall be mounted to the helmet shell extending over the impact liner for to secure the impact liner. Helmet Suspension System: The suspension system shall consist of three (3) 3/4 ” nylon web straps extending to six (6) locations around the impact liner. The straps shall be attached to a gasket that is located in the lip of the impact liner. The impact liner is adjustable for helmet height with a six (6) point tie system. Helmet Headband: The helmet shall have a quick adjustment sizing capability by means of a ratchet adjustment system attached to a heat resistant nylon headband. The headband shall be attached to the impact liner system by four (4) nylon screws. The headband shall have a height adjuster located at the rear of the headband inside the impact liner that allows at least 1” of travel by means of two (2) height adjustment keys for proper fit. Helmet Sweat Band: The sweat band shall consist of a foam padding at the forehead. The sweat band shall be removable. Helmet Chinstrap: The chinstrap shall be constructed with two (2) pieces of 3/4 ” black Nomex webbing with a one hand quick release thermoplastic buckle and postman slide. When the chinstrap is connected and fully extended the maximum length shall be at least 24” when measured from one attachment point to the opposite attachment point. Helmet Ear/Neck Cover: The ear/neck cover shall consist of either a 100% Nomex or a 60% Kevlar / 40% Nomex outer shell backed with FR cotton. A 1” strip of hook and loop material shall be sewn in one continuous band across the top of the ear/neck cover outer shell for attachment to the inner shell. Helmet Retroreflective Trim: The helmet shell shall have eight (8) pentagon-shaped fluorescent lime-yellow, retroreflective markings equidistantly located around the circumference. The reflective materials shall be glass bead based to maximize heat resistance. Faceshield Option: The faceshield shall be a hard-coated PPC material measuring 4” x 15” that is molded in a formed position designed to fit the contour of the helmet shell brim. The faceshield shall be mounted to the helmet shell brim by a glass-reinforced, flame resistant, nylon handwheel stainless steel threaded sted attached to a brass T-nut supported by an aluminum washer and mounting bracket. The faceshield shall be certified to meet the optic requirements of ANSI Z87.1 Standard for Eye and Face Protection. The faceshield shall meet the NFPA 1971 requirements for heat resistance and impact performance. When mounted, the faceshield shall permit a minimum retractability of 90 degrees in the stowed position. Performance: The helmet shall meet all NFPA 1971, latest edition, requirements. The helmet shall be manufactured by an ISO 9001 certified company and shall be manufactured in the USA. Warranty: The helmet manufacturer shall warrant the original purchaser that the entire helmet, excluding any eye protection, shall be free of defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of at least two (2) years from the date of manufacture. The helmet shell shall have a warranty of at least five (5) years from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service.
