Offered, one model C-16 M-Scope Geiger counter made by Fisher Research Laboratories of Palo Alto, CA. The Model C-16 was first offered to uranium prospectors in 1955. This one is in fine, functional shape. It takes two 67.5 volt batteries and two 1.5 volt D batteries, and it works! A vintage Alnico headphone is included. The original Fisher box is included, though it's a bit tattered. The M-16 originally came with a long handle to attach to the Geiger probe, but this has been lost. The original olive drab webbing carry strap is included. Very clean inside and out--see photos. A really fine example of the mid-50s uranium boom Geiger counter! For more on the device see National Radiation Instrument catalog website (i'm not allowed to list their URL, but they are easy to find.) The instrument measure 4.5 x 6 x 6 inches. Unpackaged weight, 4 pounds 2 ounces (includes the headphone).
