We are selling several tested working G-560 Genie 2 Vortex small platform shaker.  We ran each one at at different speeds (the lower part of the range is marked 'Shake'; the upper part of the range is marked 'Vortex') and they did not stall out or otherwise perform other than as expected.  These also feature a "Touch" setting in addition to "On" and "Off"; when set to "Touch", the unit turns on when an item is placed on top (has to weigh at least a little bit to be sensed), and turns off as soon as the item is removed, vs the continuous "On" state when the switch is set to "On". The photos are of one unit (the one with the serial number shown on the back label) which is fairly representative of the appearance of all of these pieces of used lab equipment, though of course the 'dings' on one are be different than the 'dings' on another. Note:  the paper label with instructions on it, visible in several of the photos, is only on the one shown in the photos.  We have not tried to clean that label because, based on experiences we have had with similar labels, we believe that the letters on it would fade or run if we did. Paint color darker than when new (common issue with these based on others we've seen).  Minor 'dings' to paint here and there (see photos; use the ebay photo magnifier tool as needed to get a closer look at the 'photo model' used for this listing).  We cleaned the surface and some marks (as seen in the photos) remained; further cleaning may have further effects. No other top accessories are provided than the type of 'head' shown on the unit in the photos (this unit can take a variety of 'heads').  The rubber "buttons" on the top surface are in better physical condition than the last one of these we sold.  This same type 'head' is on all of the units being sold through this specific listing; check our other listings for other similar models that may have different features than the one type listed here. There is also a small 'pit' on the top of the body of the "photo model" unit in the upper right hand corner, about 1/8" diameter x 1/16" deep.  This is clearly visible in at least one of the photos.  While at first we thought that might be some kind of flaw, or damage cause by a prior user, we have since noticed that all of the same type Genie 2 vortexers that we are including in this listing have a small depression in exactly the same location, which leads us to believe that for whatever reason, they are made that way from the beginning. We will soon be listing several of the other common style 'head' for the Genie 2, that has a single 'cup' shaped top piece as if designed to hold a single test tube or other item rather than the larger diameter rubber-button-covered head as the units in this listing are furnished with. Paint color darker than when new (common issue with these based on others we've seen).  Minor 'dings' to paint here and there (see photos; use the ebay photo magnifier tool as needed).  No other top accessories are provided than the one shown in the photos (this unit can take a variety of 'heads').  These units often have an adjusting screw on the underside.  On some of these with that feature, the screw had been turned to where it projected out past the underside of the unit.  On others, there was a cover still in place on the underside, indicating that the screw adjustment either never needed to be made, or was at present at a position where it did not project outward regardless of whatever was its last position. We noticed that many of these units as shown by their listing photographs on ebay have no "feet" on the underside, meaning the metal housing would sit directly on your lab bench.  Those that do show "feet" in the photos, on the few we looked at, seemed to have a small one at each corner, held in place by the screws holding the top cover in place onto the base. These units when we obtained them were using 2 strips of insulation like material (not at all proprietary or chemical-resistant in appearance) for 'feet' both to raise them up off a table surface to allow for the possible or actual projecting outward of the above adjusting screw, so some kind of feet need to be there to give the screw clearance if needed, and we presume also for both anti-"walking" (these naturally vibrate when in use) and noise reduction reasons.  On some of these units one such 'foot' had come loose and gone missing.  We are therefore replacing all of the 'feet' with similar new self-adhesive materials, since the adhesive on the feet that remained when we obtained these would probably not hold the feet in place for the life of these units. On those without the adjustment screw feature we will provide one of the two types of "feet" described below (our choice, but in general we would use the rubber strip type). On those that do have the adjustment screw feature we offer you your choice of one of two types of replacement feet (be sure to let us know your choice when, or right after, you do ebay "checkout"): (1) Clear vinyl self-adhesive 'bumpers' (shaped like a 4-sided pyramid with the top cut off, so these are a kind of a cube shape with inward sloping 'sidewalls' with the adhesive end slightly larger than the end that sits on a surface in use) that give plenty of clearance for the adjusting screw when extended; or (2) Strips of black rubber material (fairly dense, like the kind that were on these when we got them, not as "spongy" as rolls of foam insulation often sold as weatherstripping for windows) said to have adhesive that will last at least 5 years.  These are not quite as thick as the similar strips that were on these when they obtained them, so even when new will not provide quite as much clearance for the adjusting screw as those that came with these.  We were unable to find self adhesive strips locally that were as thick as the originals.  These should provide better noise dampening than the bumpers would since the bumpers are of a harder material than these strips. SHIPPING:  FREE "Economy" class shipping (per ebay, can take up to 9 business days time in transit once delivered to the shipping company).  If you need this on an expedited basis please contact us to see what can be arranged.  We apologize but we can't ship this to Hawaii or Puerto Rico because "Economy" class shipping involves the USPS (either by itself or in cooperation with FedEx), and we recently learned that for that kind of shipping to Hawaii or Puerto Rico, the USPS waits until it has an oceangoing cargo container load before the package leaves its port facility (in our case, it was a shipment that left the port of Richmond CA nearly a month after it got there, waiting for that cargo container to fill up).  Unfortunately for you Alaskans, barring Economy class shipments to Hawaii can only be done if barring them to Alaska as well.  That is how ebay has set things up in how it lets sellers create listings on this site. LOCAL PICKUP:  Allowed, but only if (1) you select that option during ebay checkout (if you want to know why please ask, but it has to do with ebay's rules) and (2) make an appointment with us, generally for between 9am and 4pm Mondays through Fridays excluding major holidays (we don't have a will call window or similar setup where you can simply show up and be sure to get your item without delay). RETURNS:  You have 14 days after delivery of this item to initiate a return.  If you simply decide you didn't want this item after all, we don't charge a restocking fee, but you will have to pay for return shipping and we will also deduct from your refund what we originally paid to ship this to you (so please make sure this is what you want).  If the item arrives non working, or ceases to work during the 14 day period through no fault of anyone once this arrives at your specified shipping address, we'll take it back AND reimburse your shipping cost, up to and including how much we spent to originally ship to you (e.g., please don't send it back via Express Mail).
