Safe-T-Guard is an interior flame retardant for most fibers and raw wood. Also works on some cardboard, and paper. Safe-T-Guard is unique, as it is one product for most fibers. User friendly and non-toxic. Not effective on 100% nylon, acetate, acrylic, plastic, metal or surfaces with water or stain retardant. Sizing can also prevent absorption. WOOD PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Safe-T-Guard is an interior class B flame-retardant saturant. Do not use an airless sprayer as the pressure can atomize Safe-T-Guard, which can prevent proper performance. Recommend wear of chemical resistant gloves, goggles and chemical mask for protection. Safe-T-Guard is ready to use. Apply with a, “Hudson” type orchard sprayer with a fan spray tip at 40-100 PSI. Spray all surfaces. The state of CA requires application by a CA Licensed Certified Applicator to obtain documented certification. Other coatings, glue, etc. can increase flame spread and must be tested as a system in a certified laboratory. For Fabric: Safe-T-Guard will cover 200-800 square feet per gallon depending upon the fiber content and weight of the item being treated. All surfaces must be free of dirt or coatings. Testing results by a trained professional will determine chemical amount and cure time needed. For Wood: All wood must be free from coatings such as paint, sealant or dirt. Apply 250 square feet per gallon. Do Not Use on Christmas Trees Other material: may need to be submerged until positive results have been achieved.
