The dual display allows two properties of an input signal to be displayed at the same time, e.g. AC voltage on one display and line frequency on the other. It can also measure and display voltage in the smaller display and the MAX value on the larger display on the left side. I checked the calibration with my Fluke 5100A calibrator and the readings were right on. You can see it reading a precision 0.05% calibration resistor in the photos.
