It has a 12:1 infrared distance-to-spot ratio with laser sighting for pinpointing the measurement area. This thermometer comes with a Type K thermocouple pipe probe wrapped in flexible hook-and-loop fastener with a 20" cable for taking contact measurements from 0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F), and it can accommodate any standard Type K thermocouple probe (sold separately). Its display shows the current temperature, the minimum, the maximum, the difference between the two temperatures, and the average temperatures when measured with the infrared sensor, and it has three emissivity settings that compensate for heat emitted from the surface of shiny objects to increase the accuracy of the measurement.
