The Fluke 635 includes all the basic T1 testing capabilities you would expect in a larger and more expensive tester. It performs bit-error tests, detects framing type, line coding and bit pattern, and displays signal level, frequency, clock slips, errors and alarms. The 635 transmits the most commonly used loop codes, including HDSL. Full, unframed and fractional (56k and 64k) T1 are supported, along with display of signaling and data bits and capture of DTMF digits. Plus, individual voice channels may be monitored on the built-in speaker or over a headset.   Eleven standard BERT patterns are available, including a 64-bit user-defined pattern. The 635 also includes a 'through' mode where the incoming pattern is retransmitted. Errors - including bipolar violations, logic and frame bit - can be injected to confirm proper handling by the network. Two receivers permit detection of any clock slips. Multiple receiver input types allow terminated, bridged or monitor (DSX) connections. Either recovered or internal clock references can be selected. AMI or B8ZS line coding can be transmitted and received, and SF, ESF, SLC96 and unframed framing are supported.   The 635 is compact, rugged and easy to use. Just plug it in and you can immediately see essential information without scrolling through layers of menus. The 635 automatically detects framing and line coding type and instantly displays any errors or alarms. A history indicator helps track intermittent problems.   Features & Specifications   Primary T1 Receiver ·       Range, Bridge: 6 to -36dB ·       Range, Term: 6 to -36dB ·       Range, Monitor: -15 dB to -24dB ·       Framing: NONE, D4, ESF, SLC 96 ·       Line coding: AMI, B8ZS ·       Patterns: QRSS, 1 IN 7, 2 IN 8, 3 IN 24, ALL 0'S, ALL 1'S, 1:1, NET55, OCT55, DALY55, USER (default = 1:16) ·       Status/history: AMI (status only), B8ZS, Signal Present, Out of Frame, Blue Alarm (AIS), Ones Density, Excess Zeros, Yellow Alarm, DS1 Idle Signal (all Tx patterns are frame aligned), Pattern Sync Loss ·       DS0 drop: Selected DS0 channel to eight data bit LEDs and speaker ·       DS0 signaling types: Robbed Bit, CCIS, E-Bit ·       DS0 Signaling Bits: A, B, C, D Reference T1 Receiver ·       Range: 0 to -36dB ·       Compatibility: AT&T TA24/CB113 Transmitter Output Line Codes ·       AMI or B8ZS ·       Framing: NONE, D4, ESF, SLC96 ·       Frequency: 1544000Hz ±5ppm ·       Patterns: QRSS, 1 IN 7, 2 IN 8, 3 IN 24, ALL 0'S, ALL 1'S, 1:1, NET55, OCT55, DALY55, USER, THRU ·       LBO: Fixed at 0dB ·       Tx clock source: Internal, derived from received data, or external ·       Loop codes: CSU, NIU4, NIU5, NETWRK (ESF), LINE (D4), LINE (ESF), PYLD (ESF), ARM (D4), ARM (ESF), HTU-R,HTU-C, HRE1, HRE2, NREM, NLOC, NDU1, NDU2, CREM, CLOC, CDU1, CDU2 Specification Compatibility ·       ANSI T1.403 ·       AT&T PUB62411 Connectors ·       Rx T1 Receiver Term/Mon/Bridge: Bantam jack ·       Tx T1 Transmitter: Bantam jack ·       Ref T1 Receiver: Bantam jack ·       Auxiliary power: DC power jack ·       Headset: 3.5 mm phone plug- stereo Results ·       Display: 4 x 20 liquid crystal display (LCD) ·       Clock slips: Positive number means reference clock faster; negative number means slower ·       Errors: BIT ERR, BPV ERR, FRM ERR, CRC ERR, FREQDEV ·       Signal: DS1 Freq, DS1 Level, DS0 Freq, DS0 Level ·       DS1 Freq accuracy: ±5ppm, 32° to 104°F (0° to 40°C) ·       DS1 Freq resolution: 1Hz ·       DS1 Freq range: 1544000 ± 10,000Hz ·       DS1 Level range: 6dBDSX to -40dBDSX ·       DS0 Freq accuracy: ±1.5Hz ·       DS0 Level accuracy: ±0.2dBm Power ·       Battery Pack: Rechargeable, nickel metal hydride (NiMH); 3.5 amp-hours ·       Battery life: Approximately six hours of continuous operation ·       Low battery: Red LED illuminates, indicating recharge is needed ·       Auxiliary power: 9 to 12VDC, 1000mA Physical ·       Size: 1.75" H x 5" W x 9" L (4.4cm x 12.7cm x 22.8cm) ·       Weight: 1lb, 10oz (0.7kg)
