By implementing the latest x-ray and imaging software technology, an accurate detection of foreign material is always guaranteed. In addition, a weight and filling level check enables further quality control. -- Superior safety Ixus Jar scans products in jars, bottles, cans, Tetra bricks , ... in order to detect defects which could be potentially dangerous for the consumer. Metals, glass, stones, high density plastics, rubber or bones are detected by absorbing more x-rays than the good product. Ixus Jar is even able to detect the smallest metal fragments in cans or the tiniest pieces of glass in glass jars. Ixus Jar can be equipped with single or double view inspection. The number and type of x-ray sources depend on the products, type of defects and capacity. Simplicity is everything The Ixus’ software platform is easy to operate, has an intuitive interface with a logical layout. With a simple touch on the graphical user interface (GUI), operators can easily take frame grabs of jars passing through and define the contaminants inside. The intuitive GUI offers interactive methods to translate the customers’ sorting requirements to the Ixus processing platform. The adaptive density thresholding combined with the possibility to subdivide packaging into different areas, makes the image processing powerful and the sorting very accurate. Multiple user levels, ranging from Operator to Expert mode, guarantee the operational condition of the sorter. The elaborated statistical module and histograms make monitoring and control of the product very easy. Customers or BEST’s service engineers can also access the Ixus processing platform remotely from anywhere in the world. Flexibility Ixus Jar includes a specialized handling system for high speed belts and/or unstable products. Ixus Jar is easy to integrate, can be used as complementary sorting equipment or as a stand-alone machine.
