Here is a very nice footrest for your home office.  I purchased two of these from Office Max about a year ago.  I think they were about $40 each.  They are made of very sturdy plastic, and the area where you rest your feet is covered by a thin carpet material.   I am sitting with one under my feet right now, and it relieve the tension I used to experience.   My wife began using the one pictured above, and because she has short legs, it did not give her the support she needed, and she went back to using a step stool under her desk. The foot rest is 16" wide by 12" deep.   It is adjustable in the front from 1.5" to 3", and adjustable in the back from 3" to 5".   This will give you several adjustments to try out.  I am about 5'9" and 1.5" in front and 5" in the back is just right for me. Take a look at the photos and you will see how these adjustment work, and you can look at the very good condition of the item.  There are no broken or cracked parts, and the front and back adjustment portions are solid.
