DP-63-A / DP63A with SOURCE! Old Rare USSR Military Vintage Dosimeter / Radiometer / Geiger Counter / Radiation Detector Description Soviet Military Dosimeter DP-63-A was developed in the USSR during the Cold War and was intended for soldiers of the Soviet Army. Vintage radiometer DP-63-A is designed to detect contamination of the area with beta and gamma-active substances and to assess the levels of gamma radiation. Radiation detector DP-63-A has an impact-resistant plastic case (looks like Bakelite). On the upper panel of the counter DP-63-A there are a microammeter scale, a microammeter arrow setting corrector, buttons for switching on subbands, and a cover for power compartment . In the bottom of the device there is a special window-slot for access to the source of radioactive radiation. This window is closed with a shutter. The shutter opens by pressing a button located on the side of the case. Inside the case there are two gas-discharge Geiger-Muller counters SI-10BG and SI-11BG, as well as other elements of the electrical circuit. The device is equipped with a control source. Unfortunately, we have no possibilities to check the functionality of the device. This device was received from a military warehouse.
