Forma 3860 Stericult 200 HEPA Filtered IR Incubator For sale- a Forma Scientific Stericult 200 HEPA Filtered IR Incubator Model 3860. This thing is in very good physical condition as I think you can see, but I think it has issues, so it is being sold for parts or repair. It powers up no problem but the alarm on the Temperature Alarm/Monitor module was going off and the digital display was jumping erratically from one number to another, not reflecting any actual temperature. I was able to turn the set point up on the Temperature Control module, but other than the inner surface of the door warming up just a bit I didn’t detect the thing actually getting hotter. Could be an easy fix or it might just be operator error. I notice that it is water jacketed and the label says you should put in 3 liters of distilled water. Not going to mess with it, most of these prove to be a real pain to drain. So it has no water and no CO2, that could be the problem? Also it was a really chilly 50 degrees ambient but I doubt that would keep it from heating up. I think I have another one of these, I just can’t get to it at the moment. So if I have a chance I may try swapping some modules to make the nicer of the two work. But for the moment what you see is what you get. It has shelf holders but no shelves at the moment. I might have some shelves that will fit, but again, for now what you see is what you get. As I am selling it as being non-functional I don’t see any reason to accept returns on this. I would estimate the shipping weight at around 250 pounds, which means it will cost about $180 to ship to a commercial location with a loading dock nearby on the east coast, maybe as much as $250 to the west coast, more if it is being delivered to a residence or a ways from the terminal. I can provide a shipping estimate specific to your delivery, but only if I know the zip code and whether it is residential or commercial. I don’t think it will weigh quite that much, but because of the size it will get charged for that regardless. Typically residential delivery adds $35, a liftgate adds $35, and if you want it brought inside that is another $75 unless it takes more than one person to do it. So if you need it delivered to a residence and brought inside you’re looking at $145 before it even gets shipped. I make that note because many people assume these things are just part of the shipping price. But it takes longer for the freight company to deliver to a residence because there is always the chance nobody is home when they get there. It’s quicker to deliver to a loading dock because the shipment can simply be rolled off with a pallet jack. And unless they are paid extra, the driver’s delivery is complete once it is off the truck If you must use another carrier please add $50 to the winning bid to offset the extra time spent coordinating with your carrier. I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must be able to commit to a 3 hour window, typically 1 to 4 PM.
