Description The Forney 45464 Super Ni-Cast 55-percent nickel is the ultimate rod for all known grades of cast iron. Great for joining heavy or thin sections to steel. The computer controlled coating produces welds that represent the optimum balance between tensile strength and machinability. Typical applications include welding grades 30, 40 and 50 gray cast irons - all thicknesses in all positions. Forney Industries is one of America's longest operating family-owned metal working product companies. We're committed to your success regardless of location size or needs. 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) rod diameter. 1/2 pound (.23 Kg) box of rod. Tensile strength is 70,000 PSI. Amperage: 70-110 amps. Hardness: E-NiFe-Cl. Recommended polarity: DC reverse or AC. Claims for warranty must be made within 90 days of the date of purchase. Proof of purchase required.
