Antique US Post Office with Vintage Brass Combination Lock Boxes These are old antique post office boxes in working order, taken directly from a real Post Office. Lot includes four (4) full wall units of PO Boxes described below, plus 25 extra doors. The PO Boxes are in good working order. There are a few doors on the panels that have been replaced; however, most still have the original doors. Boxes are early 60’s vintage, circa 1962 – 1965. PO Boxes have combination locks. Lock combinations are able to be reset. Postage is delivered by placing mail in open rear area of PO box unit. Please call (661) 755-7160 with any questions. Sam Parsons, who purchased an acre of land in 1914 to open up Sam’s Place, re-established the Post Office in April 1917. Since then, it moved to Castaic Road and was operating as a branch of the US Post Office for 85 years, until its doors closed for the last time March 13, 2009.
