                   ASCEL ELECTRONIC     Four Wire (Kelvin) Test Clips with 4x BNC for LCR Meters     DESCRIPTION:   Two four wire test clips for Kelvin measurements, for LCR meters with 4 BNC connectors (e.g. Hameg HM8118) and some Digital Multimeters (DMMs). Crocodile clips with gold plated contacts, bend protection and strain relief. One black and one red clip. An essential accessory for low value measurements! Can also be used for building custom test fixtures/adaptors. Background: Four Wire (Kelvin) Measurement   The key advantage of four wire measurements is that the separation of current and voltage electrodes eliminates the impedance contribution of the wiring and contact resistances. The current is supplied via a pair of force connections. These generate a voltage drop across the impedance to be measured. This current also generates a voltage drop across the force wires themselves. To avoid including that in the measurement, a pair of sense connections are made immediately adjacent to the target impedance. The accuracy of the technique comes from the fact that almost no current flows in the sense wires, so the voltage drop is extremely low, compared to conventional two wire measurements.
