OverviewThe FrancisFrancis! X1 is the masterwork of designer Luca Trazzi who created the bold, retro-style machine that has been used to dress up the sets of several stylish television series (Nip/Tuck is just one) The X! is a semi-automatic machine that brews using a powerful brass boiled and vibration pump. The center-mounted gauge does not work, but it does not affect the machine's. functions. The red and green lights light up when the machine's pressure is at the proper pressure for brewing or steaming. For easy removal and cleaning, the drip tray on the X1 slides out like drawer and also includes a removable stainless steel cover. Unique among machines this size, the X1 brews using a brass boiler as opposed to stainless steel which is seen in many newer semi-automatics. The portafilter on this version of the X1 brews using a standard, espresso coffee pod. Super easy to use, and easy to clean. Brass is known for its heat retention and aids in maintaining temperature stability while brewing. The water reservoir hold 52oz and is located in back and out of sight so as not to detract from the unique style of the rest of machine. For preparation of milk drinks, the X1 has a unique steam wand that features an intake hole to inject air into your milk while frothing. Dimensions: 19.5" H x 15.5" L x 13.5" W No international shipments. Please do not ask.
