Franklin MFG. Corp. Vintage Gold Foil Stamping (Embossing) Machine Perfect for scrapbooking, napkin/playing card embossing, etc. This vintage machine (c. 1960s) machine was used by me for about three years when I was doing small, infrequent gold embossing jobs of book spines.  It worked very well for that purpose.  The only reason I stopped using it was the need for a larger machine to do some of the more challenging and complex projects.  Although the machine has been out of use for about four years, I plugged her in and she still heated up as expected and made a solid stamp (emboss) as expected. Other than a new heating element and power cord (replaced when the element was replaced), the machine is all original as far as I know.  I am not an expert on these types of machines – only in how to use them.  The automatic advancing mechanism for the foil works as designed.  With the replaced 75 Watt heating element, it heats up quickly and is easily leveled off with the original rheostat (temperature control).  It runs off normal house power (110-120 volts). It is designed to use Dura Cast type, but I have used other brands and types of hot stamping dies in it. Note that this machine is designed to emboss only one line of type at a time. These are getting hard to find in working condition.  If you have any questions, please pop me a message.
