ONE French Toulouse Fertile Hatching Egg. French Toulouse geese are usually docile, and trusting geese. This breed is used for farm use as pets or can be used for meat. They originated from the French city of Toulouse. Toulouse is also a recognized show ring breed. They are heavy birds with plumage that is softer and fuller than average farmyard geese. They are not good fliers. Toulouse Geese are a great options for production as well as eggs. They are also excellent at hatching and raising their own goslings. Production: The Production-type Toulouse weighs 18-26 pounds at maturity and lays 20-40 eggs per year. They are considered utility birds and are moderate egg-layers with a production of between 25 and 40 eggs a year. Toulouse geese are well suited to pastures, orchards and gardens but require shelter both at night and during long periods of rainfall. Temperament: Toulouse has been domesticated for hundreds of years and it much calmer than many other breeds of geese. This gentle breed enjoys bathing and playing in water and will typically remain close to home. Colors: The most common color in all three types is gray, but a buff version of the Exhibition type has been developed as well.
