Eryngium Sea Holly Alpine Blue Star seeds ((( 40+ FRESH PREMIUM SEEDS ))) Description: Sea Holly is well-suited to any sunny, well-drained garden location and performs best in poor, sandy soils. Plants will bloom the first season when started from seed. Clump-forming heavily branched plants bare course, thistle-like blooms that are great for adding a textural element to garden spaces. Highly regarded in the floral industry for their use in cut flower arrangements, but equally stunning in the landscape. A profusion of steel-blue flowers adorn silver-blue stems throughout the summer months leaving interesting flower heads to persist well into winter. Sow seeds direct to the garden after all danger of frost has passed in spring. Plants develop a dense taproot and do not transplant well. Plants may self-seed in ideal conditions. Uses: Mixed beds and borders, fresh and dried flower arrangements. Plants adapt well to a variety of growing condition but require good drainage for success. A location with full sun and poor to average soil is ideal; too fertile soil will encourage tall, lanky plants that are likely to require staking. So don't fertilize for best growing and flowering results.
