Custom made froth flotation apparatus used to demonstrate the working principles of froth flotation. Usefull for physical chemistry/hydrometallurgy/mining engineering  practical classes etc. Gas flow and liquid level are controlled via the arrangement of teflon taps to allow flow to occur through a sinter at the base of the column which produces a fine stream of bubbles. The froth that forms then rises and collects at the top where the foam dissapates (usually helps to spray a little ethanol onto the foam) and the particles of interest fall and collect in the small vial for weighing.
