Mitsubishi EDM Model – FX2 (non submersible) Date of MFG. 1997 SN: 57E02447 Machine weight (total machine, control and tank) – 3170 Kg Cutting Volume -  X Axis 500mm Y Axis 350mm Z Axis 300mm Table Size – 780mm x 630mm Max Work Piece Weight – 800 Kg Capable Wire Size .2mm, .25mm, .3mm (setup for .3mm) All manuals accounted for and in great condition.   Purchased used in 2010. New main power supply in 2011 Replaced by new machine in 2015   Machine worked well after new power supply in 2011. Used to machine parts on average a few times a week for the last 5 years.  Machine cuts accurately but runs at about 80% the speed of a new FX2 (typical for its age). Also due to its age, it came with some problems. The auto wire cut does not produce enough current sever the wire. Due to this and other general PM items on a machine of this age, the auto wire threading is not successful 99% of the time. Recently (9 months ago) the machine has developed a new problem. It does not boot up on a reliable basis. The machine will also just stop working on occasion. We have not attempted to track this problem down. There is some service needed in the future for this machine. We did not invest in service as we needed a machine with a small wire dia capability. This machine has not run for several months.
