5009 Commercial Grade Concrete Floor Epoxy is a 100% solids, 2:1 ratio 2 component, no VOC, extremely tough advanced polymer structure with very good chemical, resistance to corrosive waters and various other chemicals. It is an attractive all purpose heavy duty commercial grade epoxy designed to provide a hard, durable, impact and abrasion resistant coating for a wide variety of surfaces. Each 3 gallon kit will cover up to 960 sq' of surface area with 1 coat at 5 mils thick (recommended for areas with light foot traffic only such as basements) or up to 480 sq' of surface area with 2 coats at 10 mils thick (recommended for heavy duty foot or vehicular traffic areas including garages). Proper floor preparation is key to success of any epoxy coating project. Recommend complete removal of all prior coatings, dirt, grease etc followed by using a floor grinder to create a 2 mil (sandpaper like) profile on the concrete floor. Equipment can be rented at many home improvement centers or equipment rental stores.
