Sometimes your "new" Garand comes out of long time dirty storage and the front end needs serious cleaning. The gas cylinder lock band and screw might be more than finger tight and the front sight blade might not be where it belongs. The blade end of this tool fits the lock screw slot(s) better than anything on your Swiss Army knife and the socket end fits both the lock band and the front end of the gas cylinder. If you have an accurized rifle you DO NOT want to put torque between the gas cylinder and barrel. This tool allows you to rest the muzzle steadily and level on the work bench to turn the sight blade lock screw and to torque between the screw and the gas cylinder and not the barrel. The tool is made from blued steel. Please note: This sale is for the wrench only and does not include the Garand sight or gas plug. They are for "demonstration only." Made in the USA
