Counterweight SPRING! **SEE tip to replacement yourself below. :0) THIS IS A HEAVY DUTY heat resistance SPRING! YOUR pizza oven door should feel "lite" when closing it, almost pulling it's self up! These springs are fairly easy to replace. A lot of them are broken and the restaurant owner doesn't even know it. If you have to lift your door to close it, and it seems kinda heavy, then yours are broken. Most of the time it's only 1 side, so you can barely tell. If your door feels REALLY heavy, then MOST LIKELY BOTH SIDE springs are broken. If you don't know there is 1 on each side, and again they break at different times. ONLY change them when broken, do NOT change them if they are good, your wasting your money!   GOOD to have SPARES! Manufacturer: OEM Garland #1005800   Oven Door Spring     6 3/4" length x 1" diameter Dusty from sitting in my tool box, new old stock, NOS, never used, higher quality OEM! Shipping in a flat rate padded envelope, anywhere USA only! FAST! *TIP on replacement....from what I remember, you NEED lift the SS trim from top of oven by LIFTING up the back side and pulling forward. You need to remove to then take the side SS plates off where the springs are hiding. You'll see them, and they will be easy to tell if they are broken.
