For the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas to appliances, CSST flexible gas piping is an ideal choice. The tubing complies with ASTM A240 Type 304 321 Stainless Steel, ensuring high performance and quality. The jacket is made of UV resistant Polyethylene that meets the standards of ASTM E84 Index for Flame and Smoke. Gastite Four XR2FTG-8-24 fittings in 1/2 inch size are a valuable addition to any gas piping system. They are interchangeable with Flashshield Four 1/2 Inch FSFTG-8 1/2 Straight Fittings, which have similar features. The use of Gastite fittings is slowly being phased out in favor of Flashshield fittings. To ensure proper installation of these fittings and the piping system, it is important to read and follow page 45 and 46 of the installation guide, which details the fitting assembly procedure. It is important to note that pipe dope or sealant should not be used inside the fitting prior to assembly.
