Up for auction is a GE Multilin ITI (Instrument Transformer Inc.) Series 95 10-Deck (20 Normally Open and 20 Normally Closed Contacts) Lockout Relay (LOR). This LOR has the lighted faceplate option that provides LOR solenoid coil monitoring with a "healthy coil" LED visible from the front of the lockout and a SCADA alarm contact available on the back. This relay has the "D" code solenoid coil installed which is used for fast (<8mS) tripping functionality at a nominal 125VDC control power voltage (70-150VDC usable range). The Lock-Out Relay (LOR) with up to 20 sets of N.O. & 20 set of N.C. contacts is used in the electrical power industry. These control relays are often used in conjunction with differential relays for the protection of transformers, buses, and rotating machinery. During a predetermined condition a LOR that has been RESET is electrically tripped to the TRIP position indefinitely. As a result, the LOR automatically locks out other circuit breakers and devices and must be RESET after the condition is eliminated. OPERATION When the handle is turned to the reset position, the flag is black and the left LED is “ON”. This light indicates there is continuity through the LOR trip coil and the LOR is ready to respond to a trip signal. Should the LOR coil fail the left LED turns “OFF” and the internal solid state contact between TB1 and TB8 closes for remote indication. When the LOR trips the local indicator flag changes to orange, the left LED turns “OFF”, the internal solid state contact between TB1 and TB8 closes, and the right LED turns “ON” and stays on provided the external trip signal (S1) remains closed. This feature serves as a warning that a fault or trip signal is still present and that the LOR should not be reset. Note if the external “S1” contact does not remain closed, the right LED will not stay “ON”.
