GE SCS1000 Series Contractors 100% Silicone caulking - 6 Tubes White (EXPIRATION DATE: 05/2016) PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES Joint Movement Capability (ASTM C719) +/- 25% VOC 20 g/L Work Life (tooling time) 5-10 minutes Food Contact See data sheet EXPIRATION DATE: 05/2016 PERFORMANCE: · Silicone durability – once cured, silicone exhibits excellent long-term resistance to natural weathering, including: extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, and precipitation, with negligible change in elasticity. · Movement capability – once cured, silicone exhibits +/- 25% movement in both extension and compression, capable of withstanding daily exposure to various weather conditions. · Adhesion – able to bond to many common substrates and finishes, including: glass, ceramic tiles, porcelain, painted surfaces, some plastics, galvanized, cultured marble, polished granites and marbles, and many composite materials including fiberglass. Some substrates or finishes may require use of a primer. APPLICATION: · Stable consistency (uncured state) – supplied as a lightweight paste, SCS1000 remains unchanged over a wide temperature range making the paste easily gunned and tooled in both hot and cold conditions. · Fast Cure Time – tack free in 30 minutes and full cure of many common bead sizes in 24 to 48 hours minimizing wait time before placing into use. · Low sag or slump – allows for horizontal, vertical, and overhead application. Once cured it forms a strong seal with minimal sinkage or slippage. Note: Not recommended for structural glazing; aquariums; bathrooms; concrete, marble, limestone, lead, zinc, or below water; mirror installations without the approval of the mirror manufacturer. Not recommended for glazing of two-part silicone edge-sealed insulating glass units.Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
