Hi guys, this is Jeff from Soigeneris again. We have some more year end clearance specials. I have a small number of G250X drives to clear out at a low price. These are the same drives used in the Gecko G540, i.e. they use a pin header for connections. They won't last long at this price with free shipping! NOTE: I wanted to update this listing with more information. These G250 drives are Rev2. They have the mid-band adjustment pot on the G250 board itself. They are not compatible with the newer Rev8 G540s (the drive will work but you won't be able to adjust the mid-band resonance.) The G250X is one of Gecko's new, low-price, high-quality step motor drives. The G250X is produced using brand new techniques allowing it to be sold for very low prices in volume while maintaining excellent quality. This is the same used in the G540 and comes with a 2x15 2.54mm (0.1") header for a connection. The G250X uses a 30 pin male or female header. It is required to have a suitable breakout board with a mating connector and isolated Step and Direction signals and is not recommended to be used without one as the drive itself is not optically isolated. The power supply voltage which can be used in the range of 15VDC to 50VDC which is ideal for most NEMA23 and NEMA17 stepper motors. The drives current output is programmed with a current setting resistor (1K per 1A of motor rating.) For the smoothest possible low-speed operation a trim pot is provided for adjustment. This adjustment results in less vibration and the most even micro-step placement for a given motor and power supply voltage. The G250X is a fixed 10x micro-stepping drive with step morphing. Step morphing provides smooth low speed operation with micro-stepping and morphs to full steps as the speed increases to provide the maximum power from the motor. The G250X is the same drive that is used in the G540. The G250X uses a dual row pin connector to allow it plug into the G540 motherboard or a similar connector. You might also consider the G251X which uses a single row screw terminal block. This makes it easier to wire up. Offering up to 3.5A of output, the G250X packs a lot of muscle in a small package. It should be noted that the Step and Direction inputs on this drive are not isolated so the use of an isolated Break-Out-Board is highly recommended. The drive current is easily programmable with a resistor, 1K/A or drive current.
