This package will completely control a 4 axis high torque system utilizing all 3.5a the Gecko provides. Gecko's Basics For Picking a Power Supply. The easiest factor in choosing a power supply is its current rating, which is based on your motor ratings. The easiest way to find out a the amps required is to divide your motors amp by 3 if you plan on connecting the motor in series (full winding) or divide by 3 then multiply by 2 to find out the amp requirement for each individual motor for parallel (half winding) Remember to multiply the requirement of a single motor by how many axis your machine will be. *Example: 3.5a motor to be run in Series would be 1.17a for each motor or a total of (1.17x3)= 3.51a for a three axis machine a four axis would require (3.51a+1.17a)= 4.68a* This package features our 48v 8.3a power supply that will easily supply a 4 axis system with enough current as shown above in Gecko's direct explanation on picking a power supply.
