Genuine U.S. Military Issue Surplus General Electric Company - Valve Disk or (?) - P/N: 5937547 (NOS) (NOS) = New Old Stock P/N: 5937547 On the item it has.... 5937547 B16 14 E 01289 (See Pictures) The overall size of the item is approximately 5" x 5 1/8" Outer Diameter (See Pictures) The threaded end of the item is approximately 1 1/2 ” x 3 1/2 ” Threaded Diameter 2 3/8” Inner Diameter (See Pictures) The threaded section of the item is approximately 1” x 3 1/2 ” Threaded Diameter (See Pictures) The inside of the threaded end tapers down from 2 3/8” to 1” The distance that it tapers down is approximately 1 1/4 ” (See Pictures) There are eight holes on the threaded end, these holes are approximately 2 1/4 ” x 5/16” Inner Diameter (See Pictures) There are four evenly spaced notches cut into the center edge of the large end. These notches are approximately 3/8” wide x 1/4 ” deep x 3/4 ” length But the overall length of the notch is 1 1/4 ” The last 1/2 ” length of the notch tapers out to the outer edge (See Pictures) The very center hole of the item is approximately 1” x 1” Inner Diameter (See Pictures) The opposite end of the item is approximately 3 1/2 ” x 5 1/8” Outer Diameter 2 1/4 ” x 4 1/4 ” Inner Diameter (See Pictures) There is a groove on the outer edge of the large end, this groove is approximately 1/16” x 4 3/4 ” Outer Diameter 4 7/16” Inner Diameter (See Pictures) Made of Steel The threaded section looks like it might have an outer layer of bronze, but we are not positive. (See Pictures) Weight: 11 LBS. 11.8 Oz. Similar to the one in the pictures. Unused! But there is a little discoloration and rust. (See Pictures) We are not positive what this item is or who manufactured it. We are basing our item listing title on the following…. On the item the last five numbers on it, are “01289”. The cage (manufacturer’s code) number for General Electric Company is “01289”. We did a search on the web for “5937547” and this number came up as a portion of part number for the General Electric Company. There are a couple of GE Company part numbers that have the number “5937547” in it. So we are pretty sure that this item is part of a GE Company valve. Also on the item it has B16 14 Which looking at the ASME / ANSI codes, B16.14 in the code is for… “Ferrous Pipe Plugs, Bushings, and Locknuts with Pipe Threads. This Standard for Ferrous Pipe Plugs, Bushings, and Locknuts with Pipe Threads covers: (a) pressure-temperature ratings; (b) size; (c) marking; (d) materials; (e) dimensions and tolerances; (f) threading; and (g) pattern taper.” Which could describe this particular part. Anyway, this is our reasoning for the item title. Please research the numbers for yourself to confirm whether we are correct or not.
