Top LED display is 4 digits, reads 0-1000 CPS (which is 60 to 60,000 CPM). It responds to the setting of the 10 turn control with dial counter "CPS". Continuously adjustable from 1 CPS to 1000 CPS (which is 60 to 60,000 CPM) The second display is an 3 1/2 digit LCD display reading High Voltage 0-1999. 1GOhm load. Another 10 turn control "LEVEL" sets the level of the pulse height. Normally the dial will read 0-1V. Other ranges are possible via an internal 15 turn adjustment - up to 2V. Pulse output is normally negative going. Positive going is available upon request (all handheld Geiger Counters expect a negative going pulse). Powered by an external 9V battery via a supplied 9V clip to 5.5 X 2.1 mm coaxial power adaptor , or supplied switching wall-wart. Hammond Die-Cast Aluminum housing made in Canada or E.U. This type of instrument is a temporary substitute for the probe on a Geiger Counter, giving the correct polarity and waveshape in a known CPM to calibrate the Geiger Counter by way of it's calibration potentiometers.
