One of the significant changes is a whole new set of chemical warning symbols: there are 9 symbols in black colour, framed in red-bordered white diamonds. These will gradually replace the orange coloured symbols from December 2010 in chemical packaging worldwide. There are new symbols, such as Gases under pressure, the '!' symbol for less serious health hazards such as Harmful and Irritant, and a 'Serious health damage' symbol reflecting health hazards such as carcinogen, germ-cell mutagen and reproductive toxicant.   Item specification These labels are self-adhesive, therefore allows very convenient usage. They will stick well to glass, plastic, paper, metal, polished wood and many other surfaces. As with other self-adhesives, the surfaces should be dry and free from grease/dust. They tolerate general aqueous chemicals well and show a good resistance to attack by organic solvents. These adhesive labels can be removed without leaving marks after prolonged soaking with warm water. The size of each label is 30 X 30 mm (H x W of diamond), the perfect size for most purposes. See the second photo where our GHS hazards labels are used in a research laboratory. Each sheet of 54 labels contains 9 different types as follow: (Layout see photo) 7   Toxic hazard 1   Explosive 1   Gases under pressure 7   Serious health damage : carcinogen, germ-cell mutagen, reproductive toxicant 11 Lesser health hazards : harmful, irritant, skin sensitiser 7   Corrosive 11 Flammable 6   Hazardous to the environment 3   Oxidising : may intensify fire   The numbers of the various types supplied on each sheet have been carefully considered to reflect the most likely frequency of meeting each hazard types in a general chemical laboratory. The labels employs GHS label elements and follows the styles required in the CLP regulations. The pictograms are nicely proportionated within the diamonds which have a solid and attention-catching bright-red border. The prints are produced from our original, high-resolution graphic images.     Using these warning stickers greatly improve the safety of your working area.  It will all be too late when he thought that bottle of sulfuric acid was water.   Price, Postage and Payment We sell these labels in packs of 5 sheets (270 labels in total).
