It fits standard 25 x 75mm slides (sold separately) and keeps specimens compressed to a layer of even thickness. Packages are wrapped in aluminum foil to seal out moisture and contain a desiccant. The case contains 10, 1oz. boxes of cover slips, each with approximately 148 cover slips.
