Gloss Brown TEX SHOEMAKER Leather Hanging Strap for Remote Radio Mic Microphone This is for NEW, old factory stock TEX SHOEMAKER Brand, of San Dimas CA, REMOTE RADIO MICROPHONE HANGER This one is GLOSS BROWN PLAIN Finish. NICKEL SNAP This is an invention of Shoemaker, made at the request of Officers and Deputies in the field to solve a simple problem. This Strap snaps over your uniform epaulette, and allows you to clip your remote mic on it. It drops the mic about 3.5", and a tab on the end ensures the mic will not slide off. This puts the mic in a more natural speaking position and keeps the operator from having to turn their head near 180 degrees as when the mic is on the epaulette. Instead you drop the head slight, still looking forward at you object or suspect to talk. This is great for old duffs like me, missing a disc or two in the neck, and great for anyone who has had to have some fusion. Also in a fight or flight (pursuit) you will not tear the epaulette off your uniform as easily, and as mentioned, you can keep BOTH eyes on your suspects, maybe preventing that situaion to begin with.
