This is a super unique, beautifully made, 6" X 9" custom gilders pad with wind screen. It is vintage from the 1970s era. The wind screen itself is made from a stiff, parchment like, printed certificate from a calligrapher's studio, complete with wax seal, dated 1975. The pad was obviously used in a workshop and there are two gold remnants on the surface, protected with paper. The wind shield folds up neatly for packaging, and simply takes running a finger along the crease to reverse it so it will stand up when gilding.
